Dr. Phil Radakovich
Dr. Phil Radakovich graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa in 1985. After graduation he worked at a small animal hospital in Naperville, Illinois for 4 years. There he met his future business partner, Dr. Jerry Immethun. Together they opened Marketplace Animal Hospital in May of 1989. Dr. Radakovich has six children that keep him busy and "young"......so he says! He enjoys golfing, biking, reading, and walking his dogs in his free time. He is an active member in the Latin Mass Community of St. Philippine Duchesne Catholic Church. Dr. Radakovich enjoys both the medical and surgical cases he sees at Marketplace Animal Hospital, but truly loves being a part of the human-animal bond that brings so much joy to our families.
Dr. Brian Godsey
Dr. Brian Godsey's love for animals started when he was very young. He started working for Marketplace Animal Hospital, as a kennel worker, when he was in high school. After 7 years in Manhattan, Kansas, attending Kansas State University, Dr. Godsey returned to Marketplace Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian in 2011. In January 2021, after the retirement of Dr. Jerry Immethun, Dr. Godsey became co-owner of MAH with Dr. Radakovich. He is married to another veterinarian who also practices in the area. In his spare time he enjoys working in the yard, running, and taking in nature while walking his dog, Bella, a cattle dog mix.
Dr. Elizabeth Craig
Dr. Elizabeth Craig grew up in Conyer, GA where she was the middle child with two brothers. She attended Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2018 before moving to Kansas City with her husband. She enjoys both surgical and medical cases and while she loves working with all species, she has a special bond with her feline patients. When Dr. Craig is not at work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and catering to the needs of her cat, Birch, and her dog, Hershey.

Her first word was "cat" and she has loved animals since she was young. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2019 and is so happy to be practicing close to home. While Dr. Shmidl loves surgery and internal medicine cases, her favorite part of the veterinary profession is establishing relationships with clients and their pets. When she's not working she enjoys going to the lake and traveling as much as she can. Dr. Shmidl has one cat, Calvin.

Dr. Joanne Belt
Dr. Joanne Belt (previously Dr. Bauer) graduated from the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.
Joanne always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. In fact, her mother recalls her talking about being an "animal doctor" at the age of three after meeting a pony for the first time. She grew up in the Kansas City area and attended Brookwood Elementary where you can still find a book she authored in the library entitled "Equine Veterinarians." Dr. Belt then attended Bishop Miege High School, the University of Kansas for one year, and Kansas State University to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Joanne has a special interest in animal behavior. She is an Elite Fear Free Certified Professional, which means she has special training to make your pet's veterinary experience as low stress as possible.
Joanne is thrilled to be in the Kansas City area and working at Marketplace Animal Hospital. She lives in Shawnee with her husband Tom, baby boy Harrison, and two silly brown dogs, Harvey and Lucy. She has a long-time love of horses, and currently has a Paso Fino named Sophia who lives in Overland Park. In her free time, Joanne loves spending time with friends and family, riding, traveling, and the outdoors.
